Outdoor Club Kick-off Event at Pemberton Historical Park! When: Sunday, October 29, 2017 Where: Pemberton Park (along the History Trail) Time: 1:00 to 3:00pm (approx.) Bring: Canoe (suggested) or Kayak, or walking shoes, bug spray and water bottle. Cost: The kick-off event is FREE, but we will pass the basket around for donations to help support the club's future activities. All nature lovers are invited to attend, including families with children. To make the day extra special the Wicomico Interfaith Partners for Creation Stewardship (a project of WET) will help us kick-off the outdoor club. We will begin the day with a interfaith 10-25 minute reflective opening and reading from one of our Interfaith Partner's members. The event will be held along the Heritage Trail, so you will then be free to walk or paddle for approximately one hour. To help provide a climate change reflective element to the event, WET and the Interfaith Partners plans tie ribbons around some of the trees along the trail to indicate the water mark where the Wicomico River will be in 25, 50 and 100 years. We will then meet at the end of the trail for a final reflection and brief discussion on what we observed and felt along the way. All are welcome!
